The success of the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce depends on the support, time, and effort of its members. With this in mind, we are encouraging all businesses to take an active role in the Chamber by having at least one person from your business join us on a committee. Below is a list of the committees and a description of their role within the chamber.

Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are the face and personality of the Chamber. Ambassadors actively advocate for the PSACC, communicating the benefits, programs and privileges of being or becoming a Chamber member. Promotes goodwill and understanding about the Chamber to its members, new businesses, surrounding Chambers and the business community at large for the purpose of enhancing the image of the Chamber. Committee members will assist with Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings, Chamber Network Nights, Monthly Luncheons, Awards Events and other Chamber Events.
Women You Should Know Committee(WYSK)
Promote women in business. This committee plans bi-quarterly luncheon meetings, develop fundraising events, coordinate workshops and seminars and provide monthly updates for the newsletter.
Special Events Committee
Need more fun and excitement in your life? Want to see how the best in event management operate? Join one of the planning groups of our events. Working on a Chamber event will expose you to new contacts in increased skills in event planning, all while having a good time.
5k-10k Run/Walk Committee
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this event in 2023, this committee puts on the largest 5k in the Plainfield Area helping promote the health and wellness of our community by not only promoting businesses in the area but also by donating and giving back to local Charities. This event is always held on the last Sunday of September in downtown Plainfield.
Legislative Committee
The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber Legislative Committee shall gain and provide perspective and understanding of governmental issues as they pertain to the business community and help execute events to educate Chamber members. The group advocates for the interests of the business community on important local and state legislative issues, educates themselves on complex public policy issues and meets regularly with key elected officials. If you want to make a difference on how business is represented, then the Legislative Committee would be a great group for you.
Education Committee
The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is responsible for connecting the business and education communities. This is done by promoting an environment of lifelong learning and professional development with connecting our members to our local schools and creating ways to help our youth see what is in their backyards. This committee also holds fundraisers to help raise funds for scholarships that are given to non-chamber members students and chamber member students. They meet the 1st Thursday of every month.
Golf Committee
Promotes and Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce and conducts a yearly golf outing the first Thursday in August. This event fosters ways that the business community will benefit from advertising this event and attracts new members, in an affordable way to our existing members.
Shorewood Crossroads Festival Committee
PSACC shall sponsor, coordinate, and administer the Crossroads Fest for the Shorewood area as a Chamber fundraiser. The fest's steering committee shall be composed of the BOD and other appropriate representatives within the community and chamber members. Funds from the festival will be donated to other local organizations who help with volunteering throughout the weekend.
*Craft & Vendor EXPO
- Promote the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce and members. This sub committee will conduct a yearly Business/Craft EXPO within the Crossroads Fest, develop ways that the business community will benefit from advertising at this event, and attract new members. This will be open to members and non-members.
